Well, the first quarter of school is done. Not bad, for a 47-year old college dropout! I’m well on my way. I sure as sugar picked an interesting time to go into healthcare…
I’ve been cramming notes and reviewing, but it’s too bad that I don’t have enough time to write. I was well into my third novel before I started school, and, just from my experiences in the first quarter of school alone, I could have started a new book, a novice medical student’s journal. It sure as heck has been interesting. I had no idea I would find this subject so fascinating, and I definitely had no idea that I would be good at it.
Sometime down the road, and that’s a way’s off, I’ll get back to writing. I’d like to either continue working on my third novel, or, on a new track, I could easily tell the story of an older man going back to school, trying to hack it in a field he knew next to nothing about, learning some profoundly interesting stuff, and doing okay at it. I’ve got tons of experiences to share already, and I’m only just beginning.
I hope everybody is well and healthy! Wash your hands!
